Discarded Wire Installation
This installation was part of my e-waste show at the Aidekman Arts Center in Boston, MA. In 2010 when flat screen TV prices started dropping significantly, everyone upgraded and tossed out their old television sets. It was quite typical to see a TV sitting outside on the curbside to be discarded. I collected them for my an installation paying homage to these obsolete, yet still functioning devices. The TVs were set up in a grid facing down, left on whatever channel they were last left on. The sound was turned on.
